There are many ways to store garlic, here are a few common and effective methods:
Refrigerate: Store garlic in an airtight box or bag in the freezer of your refrigerator. This method can keep the garlic at a suitable low temperature for at least half a month.
Hang for preservation: Dry fresh garlic in braids and hang in a ventilated and dry place, which can delay the time of garlic germination.
Piling method: Remove loose cloves, moth-eaten, moldy and injured garlic heads, and then pile them in a dry and ventilated place.
Salt storage: Place washed and dried garlic in salt water, seal and place in a cool place. This method keeps the garlic fresh and salty.
Oil immersion method: Put the peeled garlic into a clean box, and pour a layer of vegetable oil on it, which can isolate the air and delay its sprout or rot.
Store away from light: Wrap garlic in a black plastic bag and store in a cool, ventilated place to prevent light from causing garlic to sprout.
Store at room temperature: Store garlic in a mesh bag in a dry, dark place at room temperature.
Burial method: The garlic is buried in rice chaff, laid in alternating layers, and finally covered with rice chaff, so that the garlic is not exposed to the air.
These methods can be used on a case-by-case basis to ensure that garlic stays fresh and delicious for a long time.
