Three Key Points Of Winter Management Of Edible Fungi
Dec 21, 2022
Improve the temperature of mushroom bed and create conditions for mushroom production
In the cold winter, the temperature can only be raised by natural temperature combined with artificial regulation. Remove the cover on the shiitake shed, and cover the film on the mushroom bed tightly except for the mushroom collection; The cover on the mushroom shed is thinned; The agaricus bisporus greenhouse is covered with another layer of film. During the day, the temperature in the mushroom shed is maintained by the natural sunlight and the bio heat of the mycelium itself, and at night, the shed is covered with straw to prevent freezing and frost. Generally, after taking the above measures, the temperature in the shed can be increased by 5 ℃~10 ℃, and the mushroom can still grow normally in cold winter.
2. Make up water and control humidity to keep warm and cold
Lentinus edodes and pleurotus ostreatus grow in autumn, and the rods lose more water, only 50%~60% of their original weight. At this time, water should be added. Before water supplement, open the shed door for ventilation for 3 to 4 days. During water supplement, use water injection needle to inject water into the bacteria stick. With the help of the pressure of the water pump, the bacteria stick can absorb enough water in a short time. The water source should be well water. The principle of water spraying: spray like water, spray more when there are more mushrooms, spray less when there are fewer mushrooms, spray more at bud stage, and spray less at harvest stage. In winter, there is no need to supplement water for Agaricus bisporus.

3. Pay attention to ventilation to avoid north wind attack
After the mushroom bud is born, the respiration is vigorous. If the air is not circulated and the carbon dioxide is deposited too much, the formation and growth of the fruiting body will be inhibited. Ventilation shall be carried out around noon when the temperature is high, and the time shall be 10-20 minutes. Operate in and out of the shed from the south side of the shed to prevent cold and dry wind.
