According to Selina Wamucii data platform in Poland, the white champignon mushroom produced in Poland is mainly used for export, and its total export volume accounts for 90% of the total production. However, due to various factors, the export of white champignon mushroom has shown a downward trend in recent two years. In 2019, the total export of Polish mushrooms reached 280,000 tons, but in 2020, the total export dropped to 270,000 tons.

It is understood that Poland's main destinations for mushroom exports are Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Romania and Italy. The types of mushrooms exported are mainly: canned mushroom, dried mushroom, fresh and frozen mushroom, and pickled mushroom in SO2 in drums

Relevant experts said: "By 2026, the mushroom output in Poland will increase from more than 340000 tons in 2021 to more than 39 tons. Polish enterprises and exporters of agaricus bisporus should work hard to innovate technology, broaden market channels and improve export competitiveness. In addition, the Polish government should attach great importance to the development of the edible mushroom industry, issue relevant policies, and reverse the current situation of increasing export difficulties."
