How to Ensure Quality When Buying Bulk Mushrooms in Drums
Industrial food processors and canned food manufacturers require consistent, contaminant-free raw materials to maintain production yield rates and brand integrity. This technical guide outlines the objective quality control (QC) protocols, third-party inspection frameworks, and factory acceptance standards required when procuring bulk mushrooms in drums from agricultural source factories.

Third-Party Inspection Frameworks (SGS) for Industrial Lots
Our factory conducts annual updates to SGS-certified inspections for all legally compliant export goods, ensuring full compliance with international standards.

Drained Weight and Brine Stability Testing
To prevent product degradation during a 30-to-45-day ocean transit, factories must execute a 48-hour stabilization test. This test verifies that the drained weight remains at within the standard range, preventing osmotic shock from collapsing the mushroom cellular structure.

Size Calibration and Sorting
The factory must utilize mechanical grading screens supplemented by manual sorting lines to eliminate mechanical damage and sub-standard shapes. The standard industrial sizing specifications include:
Whole Champignons: 1.5-2cm, 2–2.5cm, 2.5-3cm, 3–5cm,4-5.5cm etc
Sliced Mushrooms: PNS 2-4cm, 3–5cm , 4–6cm etc.
